Composants intrins\u00e8ques des p\u00e9riph\u00e9riques informatis\u00e9s, les semiconducteurs sont tr\u00e8s largement utilis\u00e9s dans la fabrication de diodes, de transistors et de circuits int\u00e9gr\u00e9s. Leur application s\u2019est fortement r\u00e9pandue ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es avec des dimensions de plus en plus petites, des avanc\u00e9es constat\u00e9es dans les mat\u00e9riaux de semiconduction et l\u2019\u00e9quipement du semiconducteur, sans oublier leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 cr\u00e9er des circuits int\u00e9gr\u00e9s en masse \u00e0 partir d\u2019une seule puce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"quest-ce-quun-semiconducteur\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qu\u2019est-ce qu\u2019un semiconducteur ?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Les semiconducteurs ne sont pas des composants en tant que tels, mais plut\u00f4t des mat\u00e9riaux qui peuvent \u00eatre des \u00e9l\u00e9ments purs, comme le silicone ou le germanium, ou des compos\u00e9s comme l\u2019ars\u00e9niure de gallium ou le s\u00e9l\u00e9niure de cadmium. M\u00eame si ces mat\u00e9riaux ne sont pas de bons conducteurs ou isolants, ils sont de fa\u00e7on pratique un m\u00e9lange des deux. Les semiconducteurs (comme leur nom l\u2019indique) peuvent conduire l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, mais uniquement une fois soumis \u00e0 une stimulation \u00e9lectrique dans un sens particulier. Ils font ainsi office de commutateur \u00e9lectronique, puisqu\u2019ils peuvent \u00eatre conducteurs ou non, en fonction du 1 ou 0 n\u00e9cessaire au calcul binaire ou au traitement num\u00e9rique.<br><br>Les semiconducteurs sont petits, fiables, abordables et peu gourmands en \u00e9nergie, et peuvent donc \u00eatre tout particuli\u00e8rement int\u00e9gr\u00e9s aux circuits micro\u00e9lectroniques complexes. Son utilisation est tellement importante qu\u2019il a donn\u00e9 son nom \u00e0 la \u00ab Silicon Valley \u00bb, aujourd\u2019hui synonyme des entreprises et des produits les plus innovants. Bien qu\u2019il ne soit pas naturellement conducteur, le silicone peut \u00eatre transform\u00e9 pour le devenir.<br><br>Le dopage est le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 par lequel le silicone est m\u00e9lang\u00e9 avec de l\u2019impuret\u00e9 pour cr\u00e9er un semiconducteur extrins\u00e8que. Pour cela, vous avez le choix entre deux types d\u2019impuret\u00e9s :<br><br>1. Dopage type N :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>De petites quantit\u00e9s de phosphore ou d\u2019arsenic sont ajout\u00e9es au silicone.<\/li><li>Le phosphore et l\u2019arsenic ont cinq \u00e9lectrons p\u00e9riph\u00e9riques. Cela cr\u00e9e un semiconducteur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"diodes\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diodes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Les diodes sont cr\u00e9\u00e9es quand on combine le silicone de type N et de type P. Diode PIN<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Vous les trouverez g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement dans les applications haute tension et les applications n\u00e9cessitant une commutation rapide.
