En l&rsquo;honneur de cela, nous avons voulu rendre hommage \u00e0 six des femmes scientifiques les plus influentes qui font aujourd&rsquo;hui une \u00e9norme diff\u00e9rence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"emmanuelle-charpentier-et-jennifer-doudna\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Emmanuelle Charpentier et Jennifer Doudna<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En 2020, le prix Nobel de chimie a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9cern\u00e9 \u00e0 deux femmes, Emmanuelle Charpentier et Jennifer Doudna. Le prix honore leur travail sur la technologie d&rsquo;\u00e9dition g\u00e9nomique, puisqu&rsquo;elles ont d\u00e9couverte les ciseaux g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques Crispr-Cas9 qui apportent des modifications sp\u00e9cifiques et pr\u00e9cises \u00e0 l&rsquo;ADN contenu dans les cellules vivantes. Leurs efforts ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 d&rsquo;importantes recherches et seront r\u00e9volutionnaires dans le traitement des maladies h\u00e9r\u00e9ditaires. Il est actuellement test\u00e9 pour son potentiel \u00e0 traiter la dr\u00e9panocytose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>J&rsquo;esp\u00e8re que cela constituera un message positif sp\u00e9cifiquement destin\u00e9 aux jeunes filles qui voudraient suivre la voie de la science&#8230; et leur montrer que les femmes dans les sciences peuvent aussi avoir un impact avec les recherches qu&rsquo;elles m\u00e8nent<\/em><\/p><cite><strong><em><strong><em>Emmanuelle Charpentier<\/em><\/strong><br><\/em><\/strong><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>C&rsquo;est la premi\u00e8re fois que l&rsquo;un des prix scientifiques est attribu\u00e9 \u00e0 deux femmes sans qu&rsquo;un collaborateur masculin ne figure sur le prix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"nina-tandon\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nina Tandon<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Nina Tandon est ing\u00e9nieur biom\u00e9dical et la fondatrice et PDG d&rsquo;EpiBone, une entreprise qui cultive des os pour la reconstruction osseuse. Son travail a permis aux praticiens de r\u00e9parer des d\u00e9fauts osseux en utilisant les cellules souches d&rsquo;un patient pour cultiver de nouveaux os sains dans un laboratoire. Ces os sont cr\u00e9\u00e9s \u00e0 des mesures exactes afin que le corps du patient accepte le nouvel os sans risque de rejet.<br><br>En utilisant la m\u00eame m\u00e9thodologie, Nina Tandon a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 \u00e9tendre l&rsquo;application de son travail \u00e0 la construction de c\u0153urs battants. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son travail, elle a remport\u00e9 plusieurs de r\u00e9compenses, notamment en devenant membre de TED et en \u00e9tant nomm\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0\u00a0\u00bbPenseur mondial 2015&Prime;\u00a0\u00bb par le magazine Foreign Policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-prise-en-charge-des-contenus-embarques wp-block-embed-prise-en-charge-des-contenus-embarques wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Make It Happen: Nina Tandon\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_lPPH32og7s?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"kiara-nirghin\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kiara Nirghin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A 16 ans, Kiara Nirghin a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9e gagnante de la foire scientifique de Google de 2016 pour sa cr\u00e9ation d&rsquo;un polym\u00e8re super absorbant \u00e0 base de peaux d&rsquo;orange et d&rsquo;avocat. Capable de retenir plus de 100 fois sa masse, ce polym\u00e8re offre l&rsquo;opportunit\u00e9 de r\u00e9volutionner la conservation de l&rsquo;eau et de soutenir les cultures pendant une s\u00e9cheresse. Il peut \u00e9galement \u00eatre appliqu\u00e9 aux terres agricoles et servir \u00e0 accro\u00eetre la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire mondiale, en particulier dans les pays qui souffrent de s\u00e9cheresse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>Nous pouvons encourager davantage de femmes et de jeunes filles de se lancer dans une carri\u00e8re dans les domaines de la science, la technologie, l\u2019ing\u00e9nierie et les math\u00e9matiques (STEM selon l&rsquo;acronyme anglais) en pr\u00e9sentant des mod\u00e8les plus positifs et des exemples de r\u00e9ussite d&rsquo;autres femmes. Les mod\u00e8les sont si importants parce qu&rsquo;ils prouvent aux jeunes filles et aux aspirants scientifiques qu&rsquo;ils peuvent eux aussi r\u00e9aliser leurs r\u00eaves.<\/em><\/p><cite><strong><em>Kiara Nirghin, campagne Je suis de la G\u00e9n\u00e9ration Egalit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;ONU Femmes<\/em><\/strong><br><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"fei-fei-li\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fei- Fei Li<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Informaticienne et pionni\u00e8re de l&rsquo;intelligence artificielle (IA), Fei-Fei Li est la co-fondatrice d&rsquo;AI4ALL, une association \u00e0 but non lucratif visant \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la diversit\u00e9 dans l&rsquo;IA. Elle est \u00e9galement reconnue pour son travail dans le cadre du projet ImageNet, o\u00f9 elle a form\u00e9 le premier ordinateur \u00e0 reconna\u00eetre, interpr\u00e9ter et comprendre les images. Ce faisant, elle a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9laboration d&rsquo;une base de donn\u00e9es de plus de 15 millions d&rsquo;images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-prise-en-charge-des-contenus-embarques wp-block-embed-prise-en-charge-des-contenus-embarques wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Fei-Fei Li, Professor at Stanford University &amp; Chief Technologist at Google Cloud | MAKERS\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UvauKbNiX7k?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans son laboratoire \u00e0 Stanford, Fei Fei Li travaille actuellement \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation d&rsquo;agents interactifs qui comprennent le monde \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide de la perception et de l&rsquo;actionnement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"hamilton-bennett\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hamilton Bennett<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hamilton Bennett, directrice principale de l&rsquo;acc\u00e8s aux vaccins et des partenariats chez Moderna, est devenue l&rsquo;une des h\u00e9ro\u00efnnes m\u00e9connues de la pand\u00e9mie Covid-19. En janvier 2020, alors que l&rsquo;on savait peu de choses sur le Coronavirus, Moderna, une entreprise de biotechnologie bas\u00e9e aux \u00c9tats-Unis, a \u00e9t\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re \u00e0 travailler sur un vaccin.<br><br>Deux jours apr\u00e8s que le premier g\u00e9nome du virus ait \u00e9t\u00e9 cartographi\u00e9 et rendu public, l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe de Hamilton Bennet a finalis\u00e9 son vaccin Covid-19 : l&rsquo;ARNm-1273. Il est maintenant l&rsquo;un des deux vaccins administr\u00e9s aux \u00c9tats-Unis.<br><br>Hamilton Bennett avait \u00e9galement dirig\u00e9 le programme Zika de Moderna, o\u00f9 elle a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 produire un vaccin en dix mois, un record.<br><br>Ces scientifiques \u00e9tonnants illustrent \u00e0 quel point les femmes et les jeunes filles peuvent \u00eatre influentes dans le domaine des sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>A l&rsquo;heure actuelle, moins de 30% des chercheurs dans le monde sont des femmes. Selon les donn\u00e9es de l&rsquo;UNESCO (2014 &#8211; 2016), seulement 30 % environ des \u00e9tudiantes choisissent des domaines li\u00e9s aux STEM dans l&rsquo;enseignement sup\u00e9rieur. Au niveau mondial, la scolarisation des filles est particuli\u00e8rement faible dans les TIC (3%), les sciences naturelles, les math\u00e9matiques et les statistiques (5%) et dans l&rsquo;ing\u00e9nierie, la fabrication et la construction (8%)<\/em><\/p><cite><strong><em><strong><em>Nations Unies<\/em><\/strong><br><\/em><\/strong><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Il est extr\u00eamement important de rem\u00e9dier \u00e0 cette in\u00e9galit\u00e9 entre hommes et femmes dans l&rsquo;industrie.
