L&rsquo;agriculture r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratrice peut-elle devenir une solution dans la lutte pour la r\u00e9duction de ces \u00e9missions ?&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"quest-ce-que-lagriculture-regeneratrice\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qu&rsquo;est-ce que l&rsquo;agriculture r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratrice ?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;agriculture r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratrice est un type d&rsquo;agriculture qui contribue \u00e0 la protection et \u00e0 la restauration des terres agricoles et des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes environnants. Alors que les m\u00e9thodes agricoles industrielles reposent sur un mod\u00e8le plus lin\u00e9aire, l&rsquo;agriculture r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratrice part du principe que le sol, l&rsquo;eau, les cultures, les hommes et les animaux font tous partie d&rsquo;un syst\u00e8me interconnect\u00e9, et se concentre sur la r\u00e9duction des d\u00e9chets et la priorit\u00e9 donn\u00e9e \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 des sols. Alors qu&rsquo;il ne faut pas longtemps pour que le sol soit \u00e9rod\u00e9, il faut environ 1 000 ans pour que seulement quelques centim\u00e8tres de terre arable se forment. Face \u00e0 une demande alimentaire en constante augmentation, il est clair que les m\u00e9thodes de l&rsquo;agriculture industrielle ne sont pas durables. Selon la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldbank.org\/en\/topic\/climate-smart-agriculture#:~:text=Agriculture%20is%20a%20major%20part,is%20either%20lost%20or%20wasted.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Banque mondiale<\/a>, un tiers de la nourriture produite dans le monde p\u00e9rit ou est gaspill\u00e9e. C&rsquo;est un probl\u00e8me auquel il faut s&rsquo;attaquer si l&rsquo;on veut pr\u00e9server l&rsquo;environnement et atteindre les objectifs climatiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;agriculture r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratrice est un ensemble de pratiques de gestion agricole ax\u00e9es sur une approche durable de l&rsquo;agriculture, la sant\u00e9 des sols \u00e9tant l&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e9ment le plus important. Son objectif principal n&rsquo;est pas seulement d&rsquo;entretenir le sol, mais de le r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rer activement gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des pratiques qui favorisent l&rsquo;abondance et la diversit\u00e9 des microbes du sol. Ces micro-organismes jouent un r\u00f4le cl\u00e9 dans les processus qui favorisent la sant\u00e9 des sols, entra\u00eenant des effets positifs tels qu&rsquo;une meilleure p\u00e9n\u00e9tration et r\u00e9tention de l&rsquo;eau, une meilleure disponibilit\u00e9 des nutriments pour les plantes, une r\u00e9duction de l&rsquo;\u00e9rosion des sols et une meilleure agr\u00e9gation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un sol sain est un r\u00e9servoir essentiel de nutriments importants tels que le carbone et le phosphore. Il fait partie int\u00e9grante du \u00ab cycle des nutriments \u00bb, indispensable aux \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes et \u00e0 une alimentation saine. Les plantes et les animaux se nourrissent du sol et de l&rsquo;air, et lorsqu&rsquo;ils meurent et se d\u00e9composent, les nutriments sont r\u00e9introduits dans l&rsquo;\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me, y compris dans le sol. Les avantages des sols sains et des pratiques r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratrices couvrent toute une s\u00e9rie d&rsquo;aspects, notamment la biodiversit\u00e9, une meilleure gestion de l&rsquo;eau, des pratiques agricoles plus saines et des terres plus productives.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"types-de-pratiques-agricoles-regeneratrices\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Types de pratiques agricoles r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratrices<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;agriculture r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratrice peut \u00eatre appliqu\u00e9e de nombreuses mani\u00e8res. La continuit\u00e9 de la croissance des plantes et des racines enrichit le sol en nutriments, ce qui est b\u00e9n\u00e9fique pour les cultures suivantes. Les cultures de couverture sont un moyen essentiel d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer la structure biologique du sol, de r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer les \u00e9l\u00e9ments nutritifs, de r\u00e9duire le besoin d&rsquo;engrais synth\u00e9tiques, de pi\u00e9ger le carbone de l&rsquo;atmosph\u00e8re dans le sol et de minimiser le ruissellement de l&rsquo;eau agricole.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Int\u00e9gration des animaux &#8211; <\/strong>l&rsquo;int\u00e9gration du b\u00e9tail dans les processus agricoles facilite le recyclage des nutriments.  Le p\u00e2turage du b\u00e9tail sur les cultures de couverture contribue \u00e0 augmenter le pi\u00e9geage du carbone dans le sol.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Agroforesterie &#8211; <\/strong>cette technique consiste \u00e0 combiner les terres sur lesquelles poussent les cultures et les arbres. Les cultures sont cultiv\u00e9es entre les rang\u00e9es d&rsquo;arbres, ce qui contribue \u00e0 une plus grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de r\u00e9coltes. Il est confront\u00e9 \u00e0 de nombreux d\u00e9fis, de la famine et de la d\u00e9forestation \u00e0 la s\u00e9cheresse et aux inondations. Les syst\u00e8mes alimentaires r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratifs peuvent contribuer \u00e0 inverser cette tendance et \u00e9ventuellement \u00e0 obtenir des r\u00e9sultats positifs pour la nature d&rsquo;ici la fin de la d\u00e9cennie, en transformant les terres arables et les p\u00e2turages en puits de carbone, en inversant la perte de for\u00eats et en am\u00e9liorant les rendements des cultures. L&rsquo;agriculture r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rative peut contribuer \u00e0 l&rsquo;att\u00e9nuation du changement climatique et \u00e0 l&rsquo;adaptation \u00e0 celui-ci.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"attenuation-du-changement-climatique\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Att\u00e9nuation du changement climatique<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Le terme \u00ab att\u00e9nuation du changement climatique \u00bb fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence aux efforts visant \u00e0 r\u00e9duire ou \u00e0 \u00e9viter les \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre.<strong> <\/strong>Le sol est l&rsquo;un des plus grands et des plus importants puits de carbone. Les plantes peuvent absorber le carbone gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la photosynth\u00e8se et aux microbes, puis le restituer au sol. Ce processus s&rsquo;appelle la s\u00e9questration du dioxyde de carbone. Un sol sain, qui n&rsquo;a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 perturb\u00e9, peut s\u00e9questrer plus de carbone qu&rsquo;un sol d\u00e9grad\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outre la s\u00e9questration du dioxyde de carbone, l&rsquo;agriculture r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rative utilise moins de machines et moins de pesticides, ce qui signifie moins d&rsquo;\u00e9missions de dioxyde de carbone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"adaptation-au-changement-climatique\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adaptation au changement climatique<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;adaptation au changement climatique d\u00e9signe les efforts d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s pour s&rsquo;adapter aux effets du changement climatique. L&rsquo;agriculture r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rative peut contribuer \u00e0 l&rsquo;adaptation au changement climatique en augmentant la r\u00e9sistance des sols aux changements climatiques ou aux conditions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques d\u00e9favorables.
