Progett\u00f2 il primo diodo a emissione luminosa che generava luce rossa visibile anzich\u00e9 infrarossa. Oggi questo concetto \u00e8 utilizzato comunemente in molti dispositivi; alcuni esempi di applicazioni popolari sono:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Semafori&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lampeggiatori per fotocamere<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Laser<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aerei e parcheggi<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Display di dispositivi quali TV, PC, tablet, cellulari e smartphone&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Luci di attraversamento ferroviario e vie di rullaggio aeroportuali <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Elettronica di consumo<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pulsanti e segnali di uscita<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apparecchiature chirurgiche microscopiche<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Illuminazione modulare e per attivit\u00e0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"driver-led-in-breve\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Driver LED in breve<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I vantaggi dei diodi a emissione luminosa rispetto alle tradizionali sorgenti luminose a incandescenza consistono nel fatto che offrono un consumo energetico molto basso, una lunga durata e sono molto pi\u00f9 rispettosi dell&#8217;ambiente.  Per funzionare correttamente, le luci a LED necessitano di driver (detti anche alimentatori per LED o light driver) per convertire la corrente alternata ad alta tensione in corrente continua a bassa tensione. Pertanto, un driver per diodi luminosi \u00e8 una fonte di alimentazione autonoma che gestisce l&#8217;energia utilizzata da un diodo a emissione luminosa o da un suo array.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I driver per LED sono un&#8217;importante apparecchiatura elettrica che controlla l&#8217;alimentazione di uno o pi\u00f9 diodi luminosi. Un altro ruolo fondamentale del driver \u00e8 quello di proteggere i LED da eventuali danni e il suo uso inappropriato potrebbe causare guasti e possibili danni ai componenti. Le variazioni di corrente elettrica possono causare la variazione della luminosit\u00e0 di una lampadina o il suo surriscaldamento.  Pertanto, il driver di illuminazione protegge la lampadina da eventuali fluttuazioni di corrente in caso di variazione della tensione (potenza).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"corrente-costante-e-tensione-costante\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Corrente costante e tensione costante&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sul mercato esistono due tipi diversi di driver per LED: i driver a tensione costante e i driver a corrente costante, ognuno dei quali ha una funzione e un&#8217;applicazione diversa. I driver a corrente costante sono progettati per i LED che richiedono una corrente fissa ma possono sopportare una gamma di tensioni diverse. Un driver a corrente costante \u00e8 il pi\u00f9 adatto per alimentare i faretti a led o i diodi emettitori ad alta potenza.  Un driver a tensione costante, invece, \u00e8 progettato per luci che richiedono una tensione fissa (12 o 24 V) con una corrente regolata da un altro dispositivo di sicurezza. Tutte le strisce LED richiedono una tensione di 12V o 24V, come indicato nelle loro specifiche.  Assicuratevi di acquistare un driver con la stessa tensione di uscita della luce LED che alimenta.  L&#8217;utilizzo di una luce a 12 V con un driver a 24 V aumenter\u00e0 la luminosit\u00e0 del LED nel breve periodo, ma la maggiore tensione finir\u00e0 per bruciare il nastro.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"potenza\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Potenza<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Il wattaggio di un driver indica la sua capacit\u00e0 di uscita massima. Si consiglia di scegliere un driver in grado di erogare una potenza superiore di almeno il 10% rispetto alla potenza della luce LED che alimenta, per garantire una maggiore durata del sistema. Il wattaggio del LED stesso \u00e8 la quantit\u00e0 di energia che consuma durante il normale utilizzo.  Se la potenza \u00e8 troppo alta, si bruciano, se \u00e8 troppo bassa non funzionano affatto. Di conseguenza, \u00e8 meglio evitare di collegare i driver a diodi luminosi che consumano pi\u00f9 dell&#8217;80% della potenza massima del driver.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"diversi-tipi-di-driver-per-led\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diversi tipi di driver per LED<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Oltre alla separazione tra corrente costante e tensione costante, i driver per la luce possono essere raggruppati in categorie basate sull&#8217;impiego all&#8217;interno del gruppo della lampadina LED:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Interni<\/strong> &#8211; I driver interni sono normalmente presenti nelle lampadine LED domestiche. Queste lampadine sono realizzate appositamente per l&#8217;uso domestico e utilizzano driver integrati anzich\u00e9 driver esterni separati.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Esterni<\/strong> &#8211; i driver esterni sono normalmente utilizzati nelle applicazioni di illuminazione commerciale, nell&#8217;illuminazione dei magazzini e nell&#8217;illuminazione stradale. I driver sono installati esternamente alla lampada, poich\u00e9 di solito \u00e8 molto pi\u00f9 economico sostituire il driver esterno piuttosto che l&#8217;intero apparecchio di illuminazione.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Esistono anche tipi di driver luminosi che variano in base alle dimensioni, come quelli piccoli o micro con una potenza comune di 4 watt o quelli ad alta potenza.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La tecnologia LED pi\u00f9 recente e avanzata \u00e8 quella dei LED Chip-on-Board (COB), costituiti da un&#8217;elettronica integrata e da diversi LED disposti a grappolo.  Sono molto potenti, consumano meno energia e producono un fascio di luce di alta qualit\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#8217;ultima categoria menzionata in questo articolo \u00e8 quella dei driver per LED dimmerabili, e RND ne ha in abbondanza nel suo portafoglio prodotti.  Per saperne di pi\u00f9 sui driver dimmerabili, date un&#8217;occhiata qui sotto. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"driver-led-dimmerabili\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Driver LED dimmerabili<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I driver dimmerabili consentono di ridurre la potenza del LED.  Grazie ai driver con capacit\u00e0 di dimmerazione, \u00e8 possibile modificare rapidamente la luminosit\u00e0 della luce.  Esistono due tipi principali di driver dimmerabili: i driver dimmerabili trailing-edge (talvolta indicati come driver elettronici a bassa tensione o ELV) e i driver dimmerabili leading-edge (noti anche come driver a triodo per CA o TRIAC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I driver leading-edge sono di solito l&#8217;opzione pi\u00f9 economica, ma richiedono una luce ad alta tensione, il che li rende meno adatti alle applicazioni di illuminazione a bassa tensione. Ci\u00f2 significa che i parametri del driver per LED devono corrispondere a quelli del LED, come la tensione, la corrente, ecc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Condizioni<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Definire l&#8217;ambiente esterno in cui si trova il driver.  Ad esempio, se si installano i LED in un ambiente esterno, assicurarsi che il driver abbia un livello sufficiente di resistenza all&#8217;acqua.  Esistono driver per LED realizzati appositamente per ambienti esterni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Fili<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Identificare i fili (P) positivi e (N) negativi della presa, quindi scollegare la presa dalla rete.  Ricordate che se i driver e i trasformatori sono privi di terminali, l&#8217;utente deve collegare una spina direttamente all&#8217;estremit\u00e0 del cavo. Collegare i fili positivo e negativo del sistema di illuminazione ai terminali corrispondenti del driver.  Collegare quindi il filo verde di messa a terra (GND) del driver a un terminale di messa a terra. Infine, collegare i fili positivo e negativo della presa di corrente ai terminali corrispondenti del driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"5\">\n<li><strong>Collaudo<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>A questo punto \u00e8 possibile testare a fondo l&#8217;installazione per verificare che tutti i collegamenti siano sicuri e applicati correttamente, controllare che il calore venga dissipato correttamente e che tutti i cavi siano collegati in modo sicuro. In caso di guasto, spegnere prima l&#8217;alimentazione e ispezionare attentamente il collegamento per verificare se c&#8217;\u00e8 un problema.  Se il driver LED \u00e8 rotto, \u00e8 necessario sostituirlo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c8 <strong>possibile testare un driver<\/strong> LED in questi tre modi:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collegandolo e osservando il risultato.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Utilizzando un&#8217;apparecchiatura di test elettronica, ad esempio un voltmetro che consente di testare la tensione di uscita del driver LED.
