Vannkraft har spilt en stor rolle i Norges energiforsyning i over hundre \u00e5r, men hvorfor har ikke b\u00f8lgekraften f\u00e5tt like stor oppmerksomhet?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I Norge kommer omtrent 95% av all kraftproduksjon fra vannkraft og har et av de laveste klimagassutslippene av alle fornybare kilder. Men i en tid hvor man vil forsyne energi p\u00e5 en mest mulig b\u00e6rekraftig m\u00e5te har ogs\u00e5 vannkraft sine ulemper. Utbygging av vannkraft p\u00e5f\u00f8rer inngrep i naturen som er med p\u00e5 \u00e5 skade det biologiske mangfoldet. Et mangfold som allerede er truet. I framtiden vil det ogs\u00e5 bli viktig \u00e5 se vannkraft i sammenheng med matproduksjon og vannforsyning, ettersom vann blir en stadig sjeldnere ressurs rundt om i verden.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u00f8sningen fins i havet, som dekker 70% av jordas overflate. Havet er en av de rikeste fornybare energikildene vi har. Energien fra \u00e9n enkelt b\u00f8lge kan forsyne en el-bil med str\u00f8m i hundrevis av kilometer og havet har potensiale til \u00e5 forsyne verden med dobbelt s\u00e5 mye energi som vi trenger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"bolgekraftteknologi\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">B\u00f8lgekraftteknologi<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Havet kan forsyne med to typer energi &#8211; termisk energi fra varmen fra solen, og mekanisk energi fra tidevann og b\u00f8lger. N\u00e5r det kommer til kapasitet og investeringer, forventer man \u00e5 se en drastisk \u00f8kning av b\u00f8lgekraft i framtiden. Dette er to m\u00e5ter \u00e5 hente energi fra havet p\u00e5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.irena.org\/ocean\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IRENA<\/a> (International Renewable Energy Agency), forespeiler at havteknologien vil omfatte:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>B\u00f8lgekraft<\/strong> &#8211; konverterer b\u00f8lgeenergi ved \u00e5 presse b\u00f8lgene opp og ned i en s\u00f8yle som inneholder luft. Vannet i s\u00f8ylen blir presset opp og ned, og slik produseres energi.<\/li><li><strong>Tidevannskraft<\/strong> &#8211; genereres av tidevannsteknologi som samler tidevannsstr\u00f8m, og hybridapplikasjoner.<\/li><li><strong>Saltkraft<\/strong> &#8211; skapes ved \u00e5 adskille ferskvann og saltvann med en membran, som n\u00e5r elven renner ut i havet. Ferskvannet slipper gjennom membranet og \u00f8ker trykket i en saltvannstank.<\/li><li><strong>Havets termiske energiomdanning<\/strong> &nbsp; skaper energi fra temperaturforskjellen mellom varmt overflatevann og kaldt havvann p\u00e5 800 &#8211; 1000 meters dyp.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Bekymringene n\u00e5 hviler rundt faren for kollisjoner, elektromagnetiske felt, undervannslyder og inngrep som truer det biologiske mangfoldet. Det er ogs\u00e5 sp\u00f8rsm\u00e5l om hvorvidt havenergi er bra for milj\u00f8et. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.etipocean.eu\/assets\/Uploads\/ETIP-Ocean-Ocean-energy-and-the-environment.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Forskning viser<\/a> at havenergi-installasjoner ikke vil ha en ekstrem milj\u00f8p\u00e5virkning for livet i havet. Til forskjell fra <a href=\"https:\/\/knowhow.distrelec.com\/no\/forsvar-romfart-og-marine\/gruvedrift-i-blinde\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">gruvedrift p\u00e5 havets bunn<\/a> vil ikke det \u00e5 hente energi fra havet skade habitatene som fins der og teknologien kan ogs\u00e5 hjelpe jorda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"hvorfor-er-havenergi-sa-viktig\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hvorfor er havenergi s\u00e5 viktig?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Klimaendringer truer ogs\u00e5 havet. B\u00e5de dyreliv og habitat trues av stigende temperaturer og forsuring. Havenergi kan hjelpe milj\u00f8et ved \u00e5 redusere jordas karbonproblem og bidra til renere luft. N\u00e5r havenergi er kobles til offshore vindenergi tilf\u00f8res energi fordi b\u00f8lgene varer lengre med st\u00f8tte fra vindkraften.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Som beskrevet i en rapport fra <a href=\"https:\/\/ocean.economist.com\/innovation\/articles\/ocean-energy-an-important-ally-in-the-fight-against-climate-change\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Economist-gruppens World Ocean Initiative<\/a>vil det \u00e5 installere teknologi for havenergi ogs\u00e5 hjelpe andre karbonfrie, fornybare kilder, som vind- og solkraft. Havene er alltid i bevegelse. Selv n\u00e5r sola ikke skinner og n\u00e5r vinden ikke bl\u00e5ser vil havenergi v\u00e6re ideell for \u00e5 opprettholde str\u00f8mforsyningen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"hvordan-fungerer-bolgekraft\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hvordan fungerer b\u00f8lgekraft?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>B\u00f8lgene omgj\u00f8res til elektrisitet med b\u00f8lgeenergiomformere (WEC) eller enheter. Energi skapes n\u00e5r b\u00f8lgen kommer i kontakt med WEC. B\u00f8lgekraft er likevel begrenset til kystomr\u00e5der. N\u00e5r vannet blir grunnere, kan det ikke lenger g\u00e5 i sirkler. D\u00f8nningene produserer b\u00f8lgekraftsystemer som baseres p\u00e5 havets bevegelser. I tillegg kan energien i havet ogs\u00e5 dekke andre bruksomr\u00e5der knyttet til operasjonen. Noen av disse er avsaltingsannlegg som fjerner saltet fra havvannet, noe som er et viktig bidrag til samfunn og millit\u00e6rbaser hvor vannforsyningen er usikker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>Havet er praktisk talt en uendelig kilde til fornybar energi som kan forsyne verden med elektrisitet. (2019) &laquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/ejers.org\/index.php\/ejers\/article\/view\/1062\/425\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ocean Energy &#8211; A Clean Energy Source<\/a>&laquo;, <em> European Journal of Engineering and Technology Research<\/em>.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"utfordringer-for-fornybar-havenergi\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Utfordringer for fornybar havenergi&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Mange ingeni\u00f8rer og forskere lurer p\u00e5 hvordan man lykkes med \u00e5 generere energi til sj\u00f8s. Det er noen fordeler og ulemper med b\u00f8lgeenergi. Som installat\u00f8r eller energiingeni\u00f8r b\u00f8r du v\u00e6re klar over fordeler og ulemper med vannkraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"miljopavirkning\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Milj\u00f8p\u00e5virkning<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For \u00e5 kunne hente energi fra b\u00f8lgene m\u00e5 ofte store maskiner plasseres under vann. Man er redd for at disse maskinene kan forstyrre b\u00e5de livet p\u00e5 havbunnen og dyrene som lever langs kysten, som krabber og sj\u00f8stjerner.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Derfor er det utrolig viktig \u00e5 investere i godkjent utstyr. Det g\u00e5r som oftest raskt og stille for seg \u00e5 installere havenergimaskiner, s\u00e5 disse kan eksistere fredfullt med naturen rundt. Tidevannsturbiner og b\u00f8lgekraftmaskiner synkroniseres med havbevegelsene. De jobber mye langsommere enn vindturbiner. Utstyret kan p\u00e5virke b\u00e5de private fart\u00f8y og n\u00e6ringsfart\u00f8y. Anleggene m\u00e5 ogs\u00e5 plasseres n\u00e6r kysten for \u00e5 oppn\u00e5 best drift. Men disse omr\u00e5dene er ofte okkupert av frakteskip for cruiseb\u00e5ter eller mennesker p\u00e5 stranda.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Byggingen av et b\u00f8lgekraftverk vil p\u00e5virke b\u00e5de folk og fart\u00f8y. B\u00f8lgekraft er heller ikke en ren engergikilde alle har muligheten til \u00e5 bruke. Land uten kystlinje og byer som ligger langt fra havet m\u00e5 finne alternative kilder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"effektivt-utstyr\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Effektivt utstyr<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>B\u00f8lgekraftverk som henter energi fra havets bevegelser m\u00e5 kunne takle et variabelt, fiendtlig og kaotisk milj\u00f8. Selv de minste detaljer m\u00e5 analyseres for at anlegget skal v\u00e6re funksjonelt og \u00f8konimisk levedyktig. Dette gjelder alt fra de store kreftene p\u00e5f\u00f8res anleggene og hvordan de ulike komponentene skal kunne t\u00e5le konstant kontakt med saltvann.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vannkraft har v\u00e6rt med p\u00e5 \u00e5 p\u00e5virke design og produksjon, helt tilbake til vannm\u00f8llene i hellenistisk tid fram til de f\u00f8rste vannkraftanleggene i 1882 (hvor Norge bl.a var f\u00f8rst ut). N\u00e5 tilbyr teknologien <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hydropower.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">moderne vannkraftannlegg<\/a> som er med p\u00e5 \u00e5 hjelpe ren energiforsyning ved \u00e5 levere grunnleggende tjenester innen elektrisitet, fleksibilitet, lagring og klimabeskyttelse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"owc-turbinteknologi\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">OWC turbinteknologi<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Utfordringer for svingende vanns\u00f8yle (Oscillating water column) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.siemens-energy.com\/global\/en\/offerings\/renewable-energy\/hydroair-turbine.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OWC turbinteknologi<\/a> bunner i hvor vanskelig det er \u00e5 oppn\u00e5 et h\u00f8yt effektivitetsniv\u00e5 gjennom mange ulike operasjonelle forhold. Luftstr\u00f8mmen endrer retning som den sleides, men spenner ogs\u00e5 mellom null og 100 prosent. Resultatet av \u00e5 jobbe med OWC turbinteknologi er <a href=\"https:\/\/www.siemens-energy.com\/global\/en\/offerings\/renewable-energy\/hydroair-turbine.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HydroAir-turbiner<\/a>, som har mange fordeler som milj\u00f8vennlige produkter (GHG-utslippsfrie og lavt st\u00f8yniv\u00e5), med en bevegelig del, redusert vedlikehold og fotavtrykk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"havenergiens-framtid\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Havenergiens framtid<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>B\u00f8lgekraft har et utrolig potensiale til \u00e5 dekke behovet for ren energi i framtiden. Muligheten til \u00e5 dekke energibehovet med b\u00f8lgekraft fins. Men for \u00e5 beskytte milj\u00f8et m\u00e5 dette skje p\u00e5 en b\u00e6rekraftig m\u00e5te og i harmoni med havets \u00f8kosystemer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Utviklerne som jobber med disse prosjektene prioriterer habitatene. Forskere m\u00e5 studere hvor man skal installere <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elfadistrelec.no\/no\/power\/converters\/c\/cat-L2D_1690098\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">omformere<\/a> for \u00e5 sikre at \u00f8kosystemer ikke skades. Noe av utstyret lager mye lyd eller har kabler som dyr kan vikles inn i. Maskinene kan ogs\u00e5 f\u00f8re til at dyr legger p\u00e5 vandring. Derfor er det s\u00e5 viktig \u00e5 investere i utstyr som bidrar til \u00e5 forhindre dette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For \u00e5 kunne satse p\u00e5 havenergi, m\u00e5 produksjon- og transportindustrien fokusere p\u00e5 reguleringsl\u00f8sninger, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elfadistrelec.no\/no\/automasjon\/menneske-maskin-grensesnitt\/c\/cat-L2D_3356799\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HMI<\/a> og <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elfadistrelec.no\/no\/automasjon\/c\/cat-L1D_379516\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">automasjon<\/a> for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phoenixcontact.com\/online\/portal\/gb?1dmy&amp;urile=wcm:path:\/gben\/web\/offcontext\/outsite_landing_pages\/947b21d4-b9c3-4673-9ecb-f8e67e2f2998\/947b21d4-b9c3-4673-9ecb-f8e67e2f2998\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">marine applikasjoner<\/a>.
