For at disse skal fungere skikkelig trengs drivere (eller str\u00f8mforsyninger) for \u00e5 konvertere h\u00f8yspent vekselstr\u00f8m til lavspent likestr\u00f8m. En LED-driver er derfor en selvstendig str\u00f8mkilde som styrer str\u00f8mmen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LED drivers are an important piece of electrical equipment that controls the power to one or more light diodes. Another critical role of the driver is to protect LEDs from damage, and its inappropriate use might cause failure and possible damage to the components. Electrical current variations can cause a light bulb&#8217;s light output (brightness) to change or the bulb to overheat. Therefore, the light driver safeguards such a bulb from any current fluctuations if the voltage (power) changes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"konstantstrom-og-spenning\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Konstantstr\u00f8m og -spenning<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Det finnes to ulike typer LED-drivere: drivere med konstantspenning og drivere med konstantstr\u00f8m. Begge har ulike funksjoner og bruksomr\u00e5der. Drivere med konstantstr\u00f8m er designet for LED-lys som krever en fast str\u00f8m men som t\u00e5ler ulike spenninger. Disse er best egnet for downlights (LED-lys som er installert i hule rom i tak) eller lys med h\u00f8y utgangseffekt. En driver med konstantspenning er designet for lys som trenger en fast spenning (enten 12V eller 24V) med en str\u00f8m som reguleres av en annen sikkerhetsenhet. Alle LED-lister trenger enten 12V eller 24V, og hvilken type man trenger finner man i produktspesifikasjonene. Det er viktig \u00e5 kj\u00f8pe en driver som har samme utgangsspenning som LED-lyset. Bruker man et 12V lys med en 24V driver vil lyset v\u00e6re sterkere p\u00e5 kort sikt, men den st\u00f8rre spenningen vil f\u00f8re til at lyset etterhvert brenner av.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"watt\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Watt<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Driverens watt indikerer maksimum utgangskapasitet. For \u00e5 s\u00f8rge for s\u00e5 lang levetid som mulig er det anbefalt \u00e5 velge en driver som har en watt som er minst 10% h\u00f8yere enn selve LED-lyset. Watten p\u00e5 selve LED-lyset er effekten som forbrukes under vanlig bruk. For mye effekt vil f\u00f8re til at disse slutter \u00e5 virke, mens for lite vil f\u00f8re til at de ikke fungerer i det hele tatt. Derfor er det best \u00e5 unng\u00e5 \u00e5 koble drivere til lys som bruker mer enn 80% av driverens maksimumsutgang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"ulike-typer-led-drivere\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ulike typer LED-drivere<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I tillegg til \u00e5 skille mellom drivere med konstantstr\u00f8m og konstantspenning, kan driverne ogs\u00e5 kategoriseres basert p\u00e5 hvor selve driveren finner seg i relasjon til LED-lyset. Disse er:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Internal<\/strong> \u2013 internal drivers are normally found within domestic LED bulbs. These bulbs are especially made for home usage and use built-in drivers rather than separate, external ones.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>External<\/strong> \u2013 external drivers are normally used within commercial lighting applications, warehouse lighting and street lighting. Drivers are installed externally from the light as it is usually much cheaper to replace the external driver than to replace the entire light fixture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Det fins ogs\u00e5 LED-drivere i ulike st\u00f8rrelser, som mikrodrivere med en nominell effekt p\u00e5 4 watt eller drivere med h\u00f8y effekt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Den nyeste og mest avanserte LED-teknologien er Chip-on-Board (COB), og disse best\u00e5r av integrert elektronikk og flere lys i klynger. Disse bruker mindre energi og produserer en kraftig lysstr\u00e5le.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Den siste kategorien vi omtaler i denne artikkelen er dimmebare LED-drivere og RND har flere \u00e5 velge mellom. Les videre for \u00e5 l\u00e6re mer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"dimmebare-led-drivere\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dimmebare LED-drivere<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Med en dimmebar LED-driver reduserer man LED-lysets effekt. Denne funksjonen gj\u00f8r at du raskt kan endre lysets styrke. Det fins to hovedtyper: trailing-edge drivere (disse omtales ofte som elektroniske lav-spenning eller ELV-drivere) og leading-edge drivere (ogs\u00e5 kjent som triode for AC eller TRIAC-drivere).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leading-edge er vanligvis det billigste alternativet, men disse trenger et lys med h\u00f8y spenning, noe som gj\u00f8r at de ikke er ideelle for bruksomr\u00e5der hvor man trenger lavspente lys. Trailing-edge er mer komplekse og har smidigere styring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En annen type driver er DALI LED drivere. Dette betyr at parameterne til LED-driveren b\u00f8r passe med LED-lyset, som spenning, str\u00f8m, osv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Conditions<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Definer det eksterne milj\u00f8et hvor driveren skal brukes.
