Det er viktig \u00e5 se p\u00e5 problemene og mulighetene innen transportsektoren for \u00e5 h\u00e5ndtere klimakrisen vi befinner oss i. I denne artikkelen ser vi n\u00e6rmere p\u00e5 hvordan transportsektoren har endret seg over de siste \u00e5rene som den pr\u00f8ver \u00e5 begrense hvilken milj\u00f8p\u00e5virkning den har.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<h3 id=\"utfordringene-knyttet-til-reduserte-utslipp\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Utfordringene knyttet til reduserte utslipp<\/h3>\n\n<p>If\u00f8lge det <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eea.europa.eu\/en\/topics\/in-depth\/transport-and-mobility#:~:text=The%20transport%20sector%20causes%20substantial,noise%20pollution%20and%20habitat%20fragmentation.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Europeiske milj\u00f8byr\u00e5et<\/a> (EEA) st\u00e5r transportsektoren for rundt en fjerdedel av EUs klimagassutslipp, samtidig som den ogs\u00e5 skaper luft- og st\u00f8yforurensning, og habitat\u00f8deleggelse. EEA sier ogs\u00e5 at dette er den eneste \u00f8konomiske sektoren som har hatt en \u00f8kning i klimagasser siden 1990. Mellom \u00e5rene 2000 og 2019 har transport hatt f\u00f8lgende \u00f8kninger:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>20% \u00f8kning i antall passasjerer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>86% \u00f8kning i antall flyreiser.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>18% \u00f8kning i antall biler.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>22% \u00f8kning i godstransport.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Dette betyr at vi m\u00e5 handle n\u00e5 og EU har planer om \u00e5 v\u00e6re karbonn\u00f8ytrale innen 2050. Som transporten \u00f8ker, \u00f8ker ogs\u00e5 karbonutslippene, og den eneste l\u00f8sningen \u00e5 lage innovative l\u00f8sninger som reduserer p\u00e5virkningen transportsektoren har p\u00e5 milj\u00f8et og \u00e5 oppmuntre flere mennesker til \u00e5 g\u00e5, sykle eller bruke offentlig transport. Elbiler endrer m\u00e5ten vi forflytter oss p\u00e5, reduserer utslipp av drivhusgasser og hvor avhengige vi er av fossile drivstoff.<\/p>\n\n<p>Elbiler slipper ikke ut eksos og dette er garantert en av de st\u00f8rste fordelene. I motsetning til forbrenningsmotorer, som bruker fossile brennstoff som bensin og diesel, bruker elbiler batterier eller brenselceller, og disse produserer ikke drivhusgasser direkte. Dette reduserer helsefarer knyttet til bilutslipp og forbedrer den lokale luftkvaltieten samtidig som man ogs\u00e5 reduserer luftforurensingen.<\/p>\n\n<p>N\u00e5r man bruker fornybar energi for \u00e5 lade disse elbilene vil den totale milj\u00f8p\u00e5virkningen ogs\u00e5 maksimaliseres. Ved \u00e5 integrerere fornybar energi i str\u00f8mnettet har elbiler muliheten til \u00e5 fullstendig eliminere transportsektorens bruk av fossile brennstoff.<\/p>\n\n<p>Med denne utviklingen er det viktig \u00e5 tenke p\u00e5 den eksisterende ladeinfrastrukturen for elbilene. I land som Norge er denne relativt godt utbredt, mens andre land henger langt etter. Det er viktig at myndigheter, private selskaper og andre interesserte investerer i utviklingen av denne infrastrukturen slik at man slipper \u00e5 bekymre seg for om man kommer til \u00e5 g\u00e5 tom for str\u00f8m. Disse stasjonene m\u00e5 ta hensyn til b\u00e5de langdistansereiser og pendling, og b\u00f8r derfor installeres p\u00e5 offentlige omr\u00e5der, arbeidsplasser, i nabolag og langs veier. Her kan man redusere b\u00e5de drivhusgassutslipp og trafikkbelastninger, som ogs\u00e5 bidrar til \u00f8kt forbruk av brensel. Dette er noen av m\u00e5tene offentlig transport kan bidra til EUs m\u00e5l om karbonn\u00f8ytralitet:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lavere utslipp<\/strong> &#8211; Busser, trikker, tog og undergrunnsystemer kan frakte et st\u00f8rre antall mennesker enn individuelle biler. If\u00f8lge <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/actnow\/transport#:~:text=taking%20public%20transportation.-,Shifting%20from%20cars%20to%20public%20transportation%20can%20reduce%20up%20to,by%20up%20to%203.6%20tons!\">FN<\/a> kan skiftet fra private biler til offentlig transport redusere individers karbonfotavtrykk med opptil 2,2 tonn per \u00e5r.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mer effektivt drivstoff<\/strong> &#8211; Kj\u00f8ret\u00f8y som brukes for offentlig transport bygges for maksimal kapasitet og \u00e5 effektivisere drivstoff. Busser og tog har st\u00f8rre kapasitet, noe som reduserer energiforbruket og utslippene per person. Teknologiske utviklinger har ogs\u00e5 f\u00f8rt til utviklingen av hyrbid- og <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/electric-bus\/electric-bus-public-transport-main-fleets-projects-around-world\/\">elbusser<\/a>, som igjen forbedrer brensel\u00f8konomien og reduserer forurensinger.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Redusert traffikkbelastning<\/strong> &#8211; Byomr\u00e5der opplever ofte trafikkorker, noe som resulterer i tapt tid, \u00f8kt drivstofforbruk og forurensing. Disse kan reduseres ved \u00e5 f\u00e5 flere folk til \u00e5 bruke offentlig transport. Denne type transport har fordeler b\u00e5de for mennesker, samfunn og milj\u00f8. Her trenger man ikke fosille drivstoff, noe som betyr at utslippene ligger p\u00e5 null &#8211; og det er gode nyheter for luftkvaliteten!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p>I tillegg til dette vil ogs\u00e5 folkehelsen forbedres. Fedme, hjertesykdommer og diabetes er kun f\u00e5 kroniske sykdommer som kan unng\u00e5s som f\u00f8lge av jevnlig g\u00e5- eller sykkelturer. I fly- og sj\u00f8fartsindustrien er elektrifisering en utfordring p\u00e5 grunn av energitetthet, omr\u00e5de og utilstrekkelig infrastruktur. Ammoniakk regnes som er ideelt for maritime applikasjoner og kan brukes som et direkte alternativ til fossilt drivstoff i skip. Den fornybare energiprosessen utviklser s\u00e5kalt gr\u00f8nn amoniakk, som er et karbonn\u00f8ytralt drivstoff.<\/p>\n\n<p>Andre type alternative drivstoff inkluderer biodrivstoff, brenselceller i hydrogen eller syntetisk drivstoff. Biodrivstoff lages av biomasser, som alger, avlingsrester eller avfallsmaterialer. Biodrivstoff kan erstatte eller brukes sammen med tradisjonelt drivstoff.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p>Selv om noen alternative drivstoff kan kutte klimautslipp, b\u00f8r det ultimate m\u00e5let v\u00e6re \u00e5 bytte til drivstoff som ikke slipper ut klimagasser i det hele tatt. Dette betyr at vi m\u00e5 lage <a href=\"https:\/\/knowhow.distrelec.com\/no\/energi-og-stromforsyning\/hvordan-kan-hydrogen-brukes-i-fornybar-energi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fornybart hydrogen<\/a> og utvikle banebrytende teknologier som karbonfanging, -bruk og -lagring, og direkte luftfanging for \u00e5 s\u00f8rge at prosessene av \u00e5 produsere alternative drivstoff ikke skaper ekstra utslipp.<\/p>\n\n<h3 id=\"konklusjon\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Konklusjon<\/h3>\n\n<p>Siden begynnelsen av 2000-tallet har vi sakte men sikkert pr\u00f8vd \u00e5 redusere den menneskelige p\u00e5virknignen vi har p\u00e5 milj\u00f8et. Flere innovasjoner har gjort at nye teknologier er tilgjengelig p\u00e5 markedet, og i framtiden vil disse fortsette \u00e5 forbedre seg. Men, endringer i infrastrukturen m\u00e5 ogs\u00e5 ta hensyne til effektive innovasjoner &#8211; innovasjoner vi fortsatt ikke kjenner til. Det vi vet er at vi beveger oss i riktig retning.
