Det er derfor viktig \u00e5 velge riktig alternativ til ditt bruk. Hvis du velger en upassende enhet, vil dette f\u00f8re til ineffektivitet og kretsens normale drift blir negativt p\u00e5virket. En optimal ESD-enhet m\u00e5:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Reagere raskt for \u00e5 stoppe farlig str\u00f8m og spenningstopper under ESD.<\/li><li>Ha evnen til \u00e5 motst\u00e5 gjentatte ESD-tilfeller.<\/li><li>Ikke forstyrre funksjonaliteten til systemet som det beskytter.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>ESD-beskyttelsens funksjon er \u00e5 beskytte sensitive elektroniske produkter og utstyr fra ESD under lagring og transport og forhindre statisk oppbygging og forurensning fra st\u00f8v og fuktighet. Ved \u00e5 bruke jordingsprodukter kan man forhindre oppbyggingen av statisk elektrisitet, noe som reduserer forekomsten av ESD. En person kan akkumulere statisk elektrisitet ved \u00e5 g\u00e5 eller bevege seg, og dette slippes deretter ut gjennom en integrert krets.<\/li><li>Normal bruk av enheten \u2013 Modell av ladet enhet&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;&nbsp;CDM-testen simulerer hvordan en enhet fungerer n\u00e5r enheten selv har en elektrostatisk ladning og kommer i kontakt med en metallisk overflate. Dette er den vanligste typen ESD. For eksempel er ekstern ESD-beskyttelse ypperlige for grensesnitt som er utsatt for ESD-skade, men passer kanskje ikke s\u00e6rlig godt for avanserte systemer p\u00e5 en integrert krets (SoC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>St\u00f8rrelsen p\u00e5 arbeidsplassen og typen arbeid som utf\u00f8res kan ogs\u00e5 avgj\u00f8re kravene for ESD. Vanligvis vil mindre arbeidsmilj\u00f8er overholde de grunnleggende ESD-kravene, mens st\u00f8rre fasiliteter vil m\u00e5tte f\u00f8lge strengere krav.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I et stort arbeidsmilj\u00f8 kan det v\u00e6re n\u00f8dvendig \u00e5 opprette et ESD-beskyttet omr\u00e5de (EPA), der alle overflater, gjenstander, mennesker og ESD-enheter holdes p\u00e5 samme elektriske potensiale. Alle komponenter i et arbeidsomr\u00e5de skal v\u00e6re jordet, inkludert arbeidsflater, personell og utstyr. Hvilket jordingssystem som brukes, bestemmes av individene som trenger det. For eksempel b\u00f8r de som sitter n\u00e5r de jobber, bruke en h\u00e5ndleddsstropp, mens de som st\u00e5r og jobber, b\u00f8r bruke fotjording.
