Liksom alla system eller processer, oavsett om det \u00e4r en driftskostnadsber\u00e4kning eller en f\u00f6rpackningsmaskin, kan en djupare f\u00f6rst\u00e5else av dess funktioner avsl\u00f6ja m\u00e5nga insikter som kan blottl\u00e4gga potentiella f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttringar och kommersiella f\u00f6rdelar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>F\u00f6r \u00e5rtionden sedan f\u00f6ddes konceptet med digitala tvillingar f\u00f6r att representera en digital kopia av en process s\u00e5 att dess funktion kunde simuleras och modelleras f\u00f6r budget- och planerings\u00e4ndam\u00e5l. Men att skapa en digital eller virtuell representation av en fysisk produktionstillg\u00e5ng kr\u00e4ver enorma datavolymer. Som redan framh\u00e5llits kan det till\u00e4mpas p\u00e5 en process med arbetsfl\u00f6den f\u00f6r maskiner och m\u00e4nskliga interaktioner. P\u00e5 samma s\u00e4tt avser begreppet ett system, som i detta sammanhang kan vara en bagagehanteringsoperation p\u00e5 flygplatsen eller en enskild industriautomation, till exempel en robot. Robotdesigngrupper anv\u00e4nder en digital tvilling av sin produkt f\u00f6r att v\u00e4gleda framtida robotars fortsatta utveckling och drift. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oavsett vad du skapar en digital tvilling av, \u00e4r chansen stor att den kommer att ge insikter som du inte skulle f\u00e5tt p\u00e5 n\u00e5got annat s\u00e4tt. En digital tvilling \u00e4r en virtuell representation eftersom den skapas fr\u00e5n programvara som anv\u00e4nder m\u00e4ngder av data. Ur ett annat perspektiv kan det anses vara en matematisk modell som till\u00e5ter simulering av det fysiska f\u00f6rem\u00e5let.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c4ven om digitala tvillingar erbjuder m\u00f6jligheter till simulering och modellering, kan de avsl\u00f6ja m\u00e5nga fler insikter som gynnar processen och driften. Det finns m\u00e5nga \u00f6verv\u00e4ganden, bland de f\u00f6rsta \u00e4r var man b\u00f6rjar, en produktionslinje eller en enskild tillg\u00e5ng?
