F\u00f6retag beh\u00f6ver tillg\u00e5ng till olika former av st\u00e4ndigt uppdaterad information f\u00f6r att hj\u00e4lpa dem att n\u00e5 sina aff\u00e4rsm\u00e5l, medan industrianl\u00e4ggningar m\u00e5ste kunna analysera s\u00e5dan information f\u00f6r att effektivisera sin verksamhet. En st\u00f6rre tonvikt p\u00e5 molntj\u00e4nster ses nu &#8211; med den \u00f6kande populariteten f\u00f6r distansarbete, s\u00e5v\u00e4l som samarbete mellan m\u00e4nniskor p\u00e5 olika geografiska platser, vilket bara bidrar till detta. Samtidigt b\u00f6r det noteras att det p\u00e5g\u00e5r en f\u00f6r\u00e4ndring i de topologier som anv\u00e4nds h\u00e4r. Akuta begr\u00e4nsningar kommer att l\u00e4ggas p\u00e5 utplacerad utrustning som helt enkelt inte var till\u00e4mplig p\u00e5 stora, centraliserade platser (vad g\u00e4ller str\u00f6mf\u00f6rbrukning, tillg\u00e4ngligt utrymme, budget, etc).
