Men idag \u00e4r de inte l\u00e4ngre begr\u00e4nsade till den stora sk\u00e4rmen \u2013 de h\u00e5ller snabbt p\u00e5 att bli verklighet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8221;<em>Jag tror att vi n\u00e5gon g\u00e5ng kommer att \u00e5ka till Mars och jag tror att vi kommer att utforska det med m\u00e4nniskor n\u00e5gon g\u00e5ng, men jag tror att det \u00e4r riktigt klokt att g\u00f6ra all robotutforskning i f\u00f6rv\u00e4g och l\u00e4ra sig s\u00e5 mycket som m\u00f6jligt. Tack vare banbrytande autonoma robotar \u00e4r m\u00f6jligheterna att bege sig in i v\u00e5rt solsystems ok\u00e4nda v\u00e4rldar o\u00e4ndliga.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c4ven om Venus och Saturnus kanske inte \u00e4r de mest l\u00e4mpliga platserna f\u00f6r m\u00e4nniskor, brinner tanken p\u00e5 att emigrera fr\u00e5n jorden fortfarande starkt. F\u00f6r att veta om m\u00e4nniskor n\u00e5gonsin skulle kunna f\u00f6r\u00e4ndra planeten m\u00e5ste den kontrolleras och f\u00f6rberedas innan m\u00e4nniskor kan befolka den. Det \u00e4r h\u00e4r som rymdsonder kommer fram i rampljuset.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En rymdsond \u00e4r en obemannad enhet utformad f\u00f6r att utforska rymden och skaffa v\u00e4rdefulla vetenskapliga data. Utrustad med en upps\u00e4ttning vetenskapliga instrument och verktyg, lanseras den fr\u00e5n jorden f\u00f6r att studera atmosf\u00e4ren och sammans\u00e4ttningen av planeter, m\u00e5nar och andra himlakroppar. Sonder kan arbeta i rymden, kretsa runt planeter eller m\u00e5nar, eller till och med landa p\u00e5 deras ytor. Vissa sonder utf\u00f6r enkelriktade uppdrag, medan andra \u00e5terv\u00e4nder till jorden och tar tillbaka prover och data. Vanligtvis s\u00e4nder dessa sonder sina fynd tillbaka till jorden med hj\u00e4lp av radiokommunikation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sedan november 2018 har en robot vid namn <a href=\"https:\/\/mars.nasa.gov\/insight\/mission\/overview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">InSight<\/a> utforskat Mars och detekterat mer \u00e4n 1 300 jordb\u00e4vningar, n\u00e5gra orsakade av r\u00f6relser av sm\u00e4lt sten. Dessutom hittade den skakningar orsakade av meteoroidsp\u00e5verkan och avsl\u00f6jade vattenis n\u00e4rmare ekvatorn. Under den sekund\u00e4ra delen av uppdraget tittade InSight p\u00e5 planetens inre struktur, inklusive skorpa, mantel och k\u00e4rnans tjocklek. Den tillhandah\u00f6ll detaljerade v\u00e4derdata som samlats in f\u00f6r ett helt Mars-\u00e5r (687 dagar), vilket informerade om olika atmosf\u00e4riska studier. Och som Ajay B. Boten utvecklades av Airbus p\u00e5 uppdrag av German Aerospace Center och k\u00f6r en version av IBM Watsons artificiella intelligens. F\u00f6rutom ett ansikte p\u00e5 videosk\u00e4rm har CIMON en kamera f\u00f6r att se sin omgivning, plus en digital r\u00f6st som g\u00f6r det m\u00f6jligt f\u00f6r honom att <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/mach\/science\/talking-robotic-head-will-join-astronauts-iss-ncna854821\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">svara p\u00e5 fr\u00e5gor<\/a> och interagera med astronauter n\u00e4r de utf\u00f6r uppgifter.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det f\u00f6rsta <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/image-feature\/ames\/robot-colleagues-meet-aboard-the-international-space-station\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fotot av CIMON i rymden<\/a> togs efter tv\u00e5 \u00e5rs arbete ombord p\u00e5 den internationella rymdstationen. Till st\u00f6d f\u00f6r detta f\u00f6rs\u00f6k har forskare och studenter st\u00e4llt in avancerade robothundsutforskare som kan vara p\u00e5 m\u00e5nen i framtiden. Med f\u00f6rm\u00e5gan att kl\u00e4ttra i branta sluttningar, hoppa, gr\u00e4va och utforska f\u00f6rh\u00f6jd terr\u00e4ng, kan de en dag hj\u00e4lpa m\u00e4nniskor att utforska m\u00e5nen och andra planeter.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Redan har en robothundformad utforskare som heter GLIMPSE, designad av ETH Z\u00fcrich och universitetet i Z\u00fcrich, har <a href=\"https:\/\/ethz.ch\/en\/news-and-events\/eth-news\/news\/2022\/05\/robot-dog-on-the-way-to-the-moon.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">klarat sina f\u00f6rsta tester 2022<\/a>, tillsammans med andra robotutforskare. GLIMPSE:s roll \u00e4r att ta reda p\u00e5 mer om m\u00e5nens sydpol\u00e4ra region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ett annat robothundkoncept \u00e4r LEAP (Legged Exploration of the Aristarchus Plateau) designad f\u00f6r att <a href=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/robot-dogs-future-moon-explorers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">k\u00f6ras p\u00e5 ytan av ESA:s European Large Logistics Lander (EL3)<\/a>. Det \u00e4r inte s\u00e5 att vi har mekanik i rymden. Jo, det har vi faktiskt. Kanske inte riktiga mekaniker utan reparationsutrustning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enligt <a href=\"https:\/\/orbitaltoday.com\/2022\/08\/05\/satellilte-repair-in-space-comes-of-age\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Orbital Today<\/a>, fanns det mer \u00e4n 5 000 satelliter i omloppsbana i mitten av 2022. Satelliternas genomsnittliga livsl\u00e4ngd \u00e4r 5 till 15 \u00e5r. Vissa av dem kan d\u00e4rf\u00f6r g\u00e5 s\u00f6nder medan andra kr\u00e4ver underh\u00e5ll.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fram till mitten av 80-talet kunde trasiga satelliter inte repareras, men allt f\u00f6r\u00e4ndrades med NASA:s <a href=\"https:\/\/solarscience.msfc.nasa.gov\/SMM.shtml#:~:text=The%20Solar%20Maximum%20Mission%20(SMM,1984%20Space%20Shuttle%20Challenger%20mission.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Solar Maximum Mission<\/a> d\u00e4r en satellit sl\u00e4pades in i lastrummet p\u00e5 skytteln och reparerades av 1984 \u00e5rs rymdf\u00e4rjan Challenger. Sedan dess har det funnits n\u00e5gra andra uppdrag som involverade att r\u00e4dda och reparera satelliter i omloppsbana. Till exempel, 2020 fanns det ett MEV-1-uppdrag som syftade till att f\u00f6rl\u00e4nga livsl\u00e4ngden f\u00f6r en satellit (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.intelsat.com\/2021\/06\/21\/in-orbit-mission-success-extending-the-life-of-intelsat-10-02\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Intelsat 901 eller IS-901)<\/a> i geostation\u00e4r omloppsbana genom att tillhandah\u00e5lla service- och framdrivningsm\u00f6jligheter till satelliten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det finns andra kommande uppdrag som kommer att tanka och reparera satelliter i omloppsbana. Designad f\u00f6r att hj\u00e4lpa astronauter att utf\u00f6ra ett brett utbud av uppgifter i rymden, drivs hon helt av batteri och utrustad med flera st\u00e4lldon som m\u00f6jligg\u00f6r 44 frihetsgrader, griph\u00e4nder f\u00f6r att utf\u00f6ra uppgifter och sensorer och kameror i hennes huvud och br\u00f6st.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ursprungligen byggd av Johnson Space Center (JSC) f\u00f6r 2013 DARPA Robotics Challenge, blev hon senare en del av Nasas Space Robotics Challenge. Sedan dess har Northeastern University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) i USA och University of Edinburgh i Skottland, alla arbetat med programvaran som beh\u00f6vs f\u00f6r att g\u00f6ra hennes rymduppdrag redo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Valkyrie ger sig ut p\u00e5 ett sp\u00e4nnande <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/feature\/nasa-humanoid-robot-to-be-tested-in-australia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">nytt uppdrag<\/a> l\u00e5ngt hemifr\u00e5n (men fortfarande p\u00e5 jorden), i Australien. Hennes syfte \u00e4r att h\u00f6ja robotstyrda fj\u00e4rroperationer, f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttra effektiviteten och s\u00e4kerheten f\u00f6r Woodsides offshore-arbete samtidigt som personalen och milj\u00f6n skyddas.
