Det uppt\u00e4cktes 1800 av William Herschel, som genomf\u00f6rde experiment d\u00e4r han m\u00e4tte skillnaden i temperatur mellan v\u00e5gl\u00e4ngdernas f\u00e4rger. Detta ledde till uppt\u00e4ckten av IR, d\u00e4r de varmaste temperaturm\u00e4tningarna ligger bortanf\u00f6r den r\u00f6da \u00e4nden av det synliga spektrumet.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p>\u00c4ven om m\u00e4nniskor normalt sett inte kan se IR-v\u00e5gl\u00e4ngder, kan svagare v\u00e5gl\u00e4ngder avge ett synligt r\u00f6tt sken. Ett r\u00f6tt sken syns eftersom IR-v\u00e5gl\u00e4ngderna ligger precis utanf\u00f6r det synliga ljusspektrumet. \u00c4ven om de flesta IR-v\u00e5gl\u00e4ngder inte g\u00e5r att uppfatta med blotta \u00f6gat, kan m\u00e4nniskor identifiera IR genom den v\u00e4rme som avges. Men IR-lysdioder har andra till\u00e4mpningsomr\u00e5den. Olika IR-v\u00e5gl\u00e4ngder \u00e4r l\u00e4mpliga f\u00f6r olika \u00e4ndam\u00e5l. N\u00e4rmast det synliga ljusspektrumet ligger n\u00e4ra-infrar\u00f6d str\u00e5lning. IR-lysdioder med en v\u00e5gl\u00e4ngd p\u00e5 750\u2013850 nm avger ett synligt r\u00f6tt sken. M\u00e4nniskor kan dock inte se IR med medelh\u00f6g och h\u00f6g v\u00e5gl\u00e4ngd. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"vad-ar-infraroda-lysdioder\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vad \u00e4r infrar\u00f6da lysdioder?\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n<p>Infrar\u00f6da lysdioder fungerar som andra lysdioder, men anv\u00e4nder andra material f\u00f6r att producera ljus i ett annat spektrum. IR-lysdioder avger v\u00e5gl\u00e4ngder i den \u00f6vre delen av det elektromagnetiska str\u00e5lningsspektrumet bortom det synliga spektrumet. Till skillnad fr\u00e5n lysdioder som avger v\u00e5gl\u00e4ngder och f\u00e4rger inom det synliga spektrumet, anv\u00e4nds inte IR-lysdioder f\u00f6r belysning p\u00e5 samma s\u00e4tt. IR-lysdioder kan ha m\u00e5nga intressanta anv\u00e4ndningsomr\u00e5den, som f\u00f6rklaras nedan.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"avger-infraroda-lysdioder-varme\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Avger infrar\u00f6da lysdioder v\u00e4rme?\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n<p>\u00c4ven om IR-str\u00e5lning avger v\u00e4rme, utnyttjar de flesta till\u00e4mpningar IR f\u00f6r de unika belysningsegenskaperna snarare \u00e4n v\u00e4rme. S\u00e5dana till\u00e4mpningar anv\u00e4nder IR-v\u00e5gl\u00e4ngder med h\u00f6g effekt f\u00f6r att lysa upp p\u00e5 stora avst\u00e5nd med h\u00f6gre uppl\u00f6sning, vilket leder till att v\u00e4rme avges som stannar i lysdioden. L\u00e5t oss ta en n\u00e4rmare titt p\u00e5 n\u00e5gra av anv\u00e4ndningsomr\u00e5dena.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Fj\u00e4rrkontroller:<\/strong> IR-lysdioder anv\u00e4nds ofta f\u00f6r kommunikation p\u00e5 korta avst\u00e5nd, till exempel i fj\u00e4rrkontroller f\u00f6r tv-apparater, luftkonditioneringsapparater och andra elektroniska enheter. Fj\u00e4rrkontroller inneh\u00e5ller en IR-lysdiod som avger pulser med osynligt infrar\u00f6tt ljus som framf\u00f6r information till en mottagare.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>CCTV- och s\u00e4kerhetskameror:<\/strong> n\u00e4stan alla f\u00f6rem\u00e5l avger n\u00e5gon infrar\u00f6d str\u00e5lning eller v\u00e4rme som kan identifieras via sensorerna. Detta g\u00f6r IR anv\u00e4ndbart f\u00f6r att detekterings- och sensortill\u00e4mpningar som s\u00e4kerhetskameror, automatisk registrering av nummerpl\u00e5tar och m\u00f6rkerglas\u00f6gon. Dessa v\u00e4rmekameror anv\u00e4nder IR-lysdioder med h\u00f6g effekt placerade runt kameralinsen f\u00f6r att f\u00e5nga upp IR-bilder i f\u00f6rh\u00e5llanden med svagt eller inget ljus. Detta g\u00f6r att ett omr\u00e5de kan lysas upp och \u00f6vervakas av en kamera.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>R\u00f6relsesensorer:<\/strong> IR-lysdioder anv\u00e4nds i r\u00f6relsesensorer f\u00f6r att detektera r\u00f6relser, aktivera larm och andra \u00e5tg\u00e4rder. Dessa sensorer detekterar den infrar\u00f6da energi som avges som v\u00e4rme av m\u00e4nniskor och djur. Alla \u00f6kningar av IR detekteras av sensorn, som aktiverar ett svar och meddelar att n\u00e5gon har tr\u00e4tt in i dess r\u00e4ckvidd.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Medicinsk utrustning:<\/strong> IR-lysdioder anv\u00e4nds i medicinsk utrustning som pulsoximetrar f\u00f6r att m\u00e4ta blodets syrem\u00e4ttnad (SpO2). Pulsoximetrim\u00e4tning anv\u00e4nder vanligtvis tv\u00e5 olika v\u00e5gl\u00e4ngder. Skillnaden mellan absorberingen av IR och r\u00f6tt ljus anv\u00e4nds f\u00f6r att fastst\u00e4lla blodets syrehalt. Pulsoximetri anv\u00e4nds ocks\u00e5 f\u00f6r att uppt\u00e4cka s\u00f6mnapn\u00e9 hos patienter.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Fordonstill\u00e4mpningar:<\/strong> IR-lysdioder anv\u00e4nds f\u00f6r detektion i fordonstill\u00e4mpningar, till exempel system f\u00f6r kollisionsvarning och f\u00f6rar\u00f6vervakning, i syfte att varna f\u00f6rarna n\u00e4r det finns f\u00f6rem\u00e5l eller fotg\u00e4ngare runt bilen. H\u00e4r \u00e4r IR den perfekta l\u00f6sningen eftersom det anv\u00e4nder v\u00e4rme i st\u00e4llet f\u00f6r belysning vid uppt\u00e4ckt.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Streckkodsl\u00e4sare:<\/strong> IR-lysdioder anv\u00e4nds i streckkodsl\u00e4sare. De styr IR-v\u00e5gl\u00e4ngder \u00f6ver streckkodens yta. D\u00e4refter avl\u00e4ser m\u00e4taren m\u00f6nstret och m\u00e4ngden f\u00f6r det ljus som reflekteras fr\u00e5n streckkoden. Ljusstr\u00e5larna som tas emot omvandlas till data av en dekoder och skickas till en dator.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Smarta klockor och h\u00e4lso\u00f6vervakning: <\/strong>puls\u00f6vervakning sker normalt sett via en IR-v\u00e5gl\u00e4ngd. En IR-lysdiod avger ljus som tr\u00e4nger igenom huden och absorberas av blodk\u00e4rlen. Ljuset som skickas tillbaka och efterf\u00f6ljande data m\u00f6jligg\u00f6r m\u00e4tning av exempelvis puls, syrehalt i blodet och till och med blodglukosniv\u00e5.
