Tr\u00e4, matavfall, jordbruksrester och \u00e4ven alger tillh\u00f6r denna grupp. Bioenergi har anv\u00e4nts av m\u00e4nniskor sedan de tidigaste hominiderna byggde vedeldar f\u00f6r v\u00e4rme och matlagning. Genom att anv\u00e4nda biomassa som genereras p\u00e5 ett ansvarsfullt s\u00e4tt, bidrar dessa kraftverk i h\u00f6g grad till att minska beroendet av fossila br\u00e4nslen och begr\u00e4nsa klimatf\u00f6r\u00e4ndringarna. As per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieabioenergyreview.org\/biomass-combustion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IEA<\/a>, buildings can get low-temperature heat from biomass combustion systems, up to 100\u00b0C, for heating (e.g. central heating systems of a building or a heating grid) and hot water supply.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Elproduktion<\/strong>: direkt f\u00f6rbr\u00e4nning, f\u00f6rgasning eller anaerob r\u00f6tning \u00e4r de metoder som anv\u00e4nds av biomassakraftverk f\u00f6r att generera energi.
