Som en v\u00e4sentlig del av datoriserade anordningar anv\u00e4nds halvledare brett inom tillverkningen av dioder, transistorer och integrerade kretsar. Deras anv\u00e4ndning har v\u00e4xt exponentiellt de senaste \u00e5ren som ett resultat av att allt blir allt mindre och framsteg inom halvledarutrustning och halvledarmaterial, samt m\u00f6jligheten att massproducera dem f\u00f6r integrerade kretsar (IC) fr\u00e5n en enda krets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"vad-ar-en-halvledare\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vad \u00e4r en halvledare?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Halvledare \u00e4r inte komponenter som s\u00e5dana utan material som kan vara antingen rena grund\u00e4mnen som kisel eller germanium, eller sammansatta som galliumarsenid eller kadmiumselenid. Dessa material \u00e4r varken goda ledare eller isolatorer utan hamnar n\u00e5gonstans mellan de tv\u00e5. PIN-diod<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dessa finner man ofta i h\u00f6gstr\u00f6mstill\u00e4mpningar och till\u00e4mpningar som kr\u00e4ver snabbt v\u00e4xlande.
