Steve Herd CEO at Distrelec

Remaining at the forefront of industrial trends, opportunities and threats is fundamental to the next technological breakthrough, solution and innovation. The Distrelec Webinar Series, and the supplier partners we collaborate with, endeavour to open up vital industry insights from technological experts to our valued customer network.

Distrelec to launch fifth instalment of The Distrelec Webinar Series in collaboration with Arduino.

Dedicated to connecting customers with practical application demonstrations and information, Distrelec, leading distributor of electronics, automation and measurement technology, will launch a free live webinar on IoT security in collaboration with the world’s leading open-source hardware and software manufacturers, Arduino.

Launching on October 10th at 4pm CET (3pm GMT), the webinar will be expertly led by Chief Information Security Officer at Arduino, Gianluca Varisco. Sharing a wealth of industry knowledge, he will provide a detailed understanding on why the future and success of IoT is in the “security of things”. Ideally suited to professionals in specialist industries who see the need of securing their products or infrastructure but don’t know where to start, the webinar will run for approximately 30 minutes.

The webinar will focus on security principles – including hardware security and certificate-based authentication – device identity and anti-tampering, key management, encrypted transport and data confidentiality and, finally, software quickstart.
